Homeowner Newsletter – June 18th, 2023

VGVCHOA Members,

The Board has elected to add an additional method of communicating with the HOA members through email. If you see an email from mail@streamsidehoa.org, it is from the Streamside HOA Board. Please make sure your email does not route it to Junk. There are three notices contained in this email. Please be sure you read all of them.

The Valley Club Special Road Assessment

One year ago, in June and then again at the 2022 Annual Meeting in September, the Board made the VGVCHOA aware of our contractual obligation to pay 20% of the costs to resurface Valley Club Drive and View Club Drive. These contractual obligations are spelled out in the Water Service, Easement and Cost Sharing Agreement that was entered into by the original developer, Henry Dean and then President of the VGVCHOA , the Valley Club Owners Association, and the Valley Club Inc dated April 10th, 2008. We have provided a link to this document here and also placed it in the Documents section on the website. The initial resurfacing work is set to begin this year with the major road repairs occurring in 2024.

A current estimate of our 20% share is $385,000 or $8,955.49 per lot. The Board has decided to issue invoices quarterly, or $2,238.37 per lot. These amounts are subject to change as the Valley Club gets final bids. The invoice dates will be August 1st, 2023, November 1st, 2023, January 5th, 2024 and March 5th, 2024. The Valley Club has on numerous occasions asked us to have our funds available as costs are incurred. We ask you to please pay in a timely manner.

New Streamside Website

The Board of Directors for VGVCHOA (Streamside HOA) is pleased to announce the new Streamside website. We invite you to login and view the contents. Please give us specific feedback so we can continue to improve it. Your comments can be made to Steve Roth, Board Member, steveroth@me.com. (503) 953 3780.

To login, first go to the site. Type into your browser the URL: streamsidehoa.org. Note that it is .org, not .com. You can click on the link highlighted in blue or you can just type in streamsidehoa.org. Browsers will often try and steer you to streamsidehoa.com so after you’ve been directed by your browser check to be sure you’re on the right site. You will then be asked to type in your username and password. Your username is your email address. Your initial password is your last name spelled out all in lowercase letters. The initial passwords assigned were done for ease. If you are concerned about security, go to the Forgot Password link and reset your password to whatever you want.

There are numerous tabs that you can click on to access info. They are: “About” (home page), “News”, “ Events”, “Contact”, “Documents” and “Members”. In our pledge to maximum transparency, the Documents tab has dozens of important and useful documents. We will continue to add more. If there are documents you feel are missing, please let Steve Roth know and we will add them. When you are in the Documents tab, you can either just View the document or Download it.

The cost to set up this website was $300. The quarterly fee to host it is $150. We feel this is money well-spent. We hope you will find the website useful.

Streamside Annual Summer Party

Streamside will hold its Annual Summer Party July 3rd from 3 – 6 PM. We will have beer and wine as well as cheeses, meats and fruit. The party will be held in the center common area open space. Last year was well-attended and enjoyed by all. It is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors.

Sincerely,
The Board of the VGVCHOA

Welcome to Our New Website

Welcome to the new website of the Streamside Homeowners Association, formerly known as Village Green at The Valley Club Homeowners Association (VGVCHOA). We are thrilled to have this platform to better communicate with our residents and keep them informed about the happenings in our community.

Our new website is a work in process. We would love to hear your suggestions on how to make it more helpful and easier to use. Please feel free to contact any of the Board Members but initially, Steve Roth, Board Member, is spearheading this effort and should be contacted. Steve can be reached at (503) 953 3780 or by email at: steveroth@me.com.

Recent News:

The Streamside HOA (VGVCHOA) recently passed newly updated CCRs and Bylaws. These needed to be revised as the Streamside HOA transitioned from a developer-controlled HOA to a member-controlled HOA. The CCRs and ByLaws passed by an overwhelming 77%. The new CCRs and ByLaws can be viewed on the Documents section of this website.

The Board also completed a survey of the landscaping policies currently in effect so as to better provide guidance to the Architectural Design Review Committee (ADRC). The ADRC is comprised of 7 members, three of which are homeowners. It also has as consultants a licensed architect and a licensed landscape architect.
